10 minutes. Plastic segments are utilized in the manufacturing of gutter
brooms to suit our speed plates. All of our gutter brooms are
manufactured using premium wire and polypropylene components and are

USE
OF NEW GUTTER BROOM SPEED PLATE AND NEW GUTTER BROOM SEGMENTS WITH ONE
CENTER BOLT SYSTEM

Specially configured gutter broom segments with the one center bolt
system make gutter broom changing faster and easier, allowing for a much
stronger hold, keeping the segments flush to the top of the plate.

Reduced labor for changing gutter brooms results in cost savings.

Plates
and segments have been designed together for a perfect fit, with
brackets to hold segments in place, allowing for single hand
installation.

Segment clamp assemblies are designed with the bolt encased in a sleeve
to prevent the build up of dirt and grease around them, thereby
eliminating corrosion and breakage.

Problems such as stripped nuts, rusted nuts and weakened bolts are
eliminated, along with the associated task of removing them with the
extra force of a torch.

Amount
of holes in new segments remains the same as existing segments, ensuring
properly filled brooms.
USE
OF NEW GUTTER BROOM SEGMENTS WTH EXISTING GUTTER BROOM PLATES
-
New
segments can be used with existing Gutter Broom Plates, utilizing the 2
bolts and nuts located on the sides of each segment; or, a third hole
can be drilled in the plate allowing for a 3 bolts and nuts
configuration.

Segments are designed with all 3 bolts being the same 5/8” size, with
the elimination of the existing front bolt and nut, size 3/8”, which is
smaller and weaker.

With
all 3 sets of bolts and nuts being the same size, the need for two
different size wrenches when removing and installing gutter brooms is
eliminated.
NEW
TYMCO GUTTER BROOM SPEED PLATES
-
Plates
are designed as a strut-connected, two-tier system ensuring that debris
is unable to accumulate on the plate and cause damage to the gutter
broom arm. The OEM plate is dish shaped allowing for the problem of
dirt, leaves, rubbish, etc. to collect.

The
plate itself is constructed of thicker steel providing a much more
durable apparatus for attaching gutter broom segments. The OEM plate is
constructed of very flimsy, light metal, easily damaged.

Flanges are constructed of stronger steel composition with four bolt
holes utilizing ½” bolts to ensure a stronger connection. The OEM Plate
has only 3 bolt holes utilizing ¼” bolts, giving a much weaker hold.

The
bottom bolt cover has been eliminated altogether to prevent debris from
collecting. The OEM plate with the cover is often in need of replacing
because of debris collection causing bolts and nuts to corrode and
weaken.
